I got here by way of a link from the TAW blog... In one of your older posts, you'd asked how people got to your blog and why they stayed.

I didn't even notice the graphic at the top of the blog - one thing that DID make points is that I could actually see the title of your first blog post. It makes me crazy when I have to scroll past a graphic to see if there's anything posted. #2 thing that makes me crazy? MUSIC. It's an automatic click-to-close for me.

The fact that the first post of yours that I saw showed a pair of socks that I assume was hand-knit probably influenced whether I'd stick around for a minute or two. Actually, if I've made it to the first post, it's likely I'll look around a bit, at least on the first page.

Of course, if the first post is wRItN n-a RIDicULUZ way, I'm outta there before even focusing on a single word. I *DID* High School once. Didn't like it then, either.

The look of your blog does not interfere with it's readability (which is a huge success). It doesn't sparkle or tag like the inside of a high-schooler's locker, and you seem to be able to put three words together that make sense.

I don't know if I have high standards or low, but whatever you've done here works for me. :-)
